Location / Geography

Burlingame the second wealthiest as well as fourteenth richest city in San Mateo County, California. It is located on the San Francisco Peninsula and has a significant shoreline on San Francisco Bay. Burlingame is also known as a beautiful shopping street full of unique & locally-owned shops, but now it's mostly upscale/yappy chain stores - like J. Crew, Babe, Ann Taylor, Sephora, Pottery Barn, Starbucks, etc. There are still some great "mom & pop" shops left, if you look carefully, and wonderful places to eat! Check out Copenhagen Bakery for some REALLY yummy pastries and coffee.

It should be your first choice to live near Burlingame Ave. & Ralston or Floribunda, where they have many nice apartment complexes & small-ish homes. It is very safe and quiet place for living in.

It would be great to live walking distance from all that shopping. If your son/daughter is still in high school, he/she would attend Burlingame High, which is pretty good... they're really big on sports. The weather is pretty typical of the Bay Area - fairly mild summers, and cool winters with a decent amount of fog & rain. Anyway, it's a great place to live if you can afford it. If the prices are too high, consider the nearby cities of San Mateo.
